About Me

Rainbows2Snowflakes: Virginia; Inspiration comes in many forms—a fact that I learned early in life. Ordinary household objects can quickly turn into delightful creations for play. Dolls and stuffed animals become the perfect actors for afternoons full of storytelling. A collection of nature’s treasures from a walk through the woods transform a box into an autumn meadow. My appreciation for the world of imagination has followed me into adulthood. As a teacher for 15 years, I was inspired to create memorable activities not only by the world around me, but also by my creative students. My philosophy—“Give me an item to use in the classroom and I will not only identify 10 unique concepts to teach with that object, but I will also devise 10 unique ways to teach those concepts.” Rainbows to Snowflakes—A place where both children and adults are inspired to explore the world around them.
